Hang out with your favorite library staff for a fun story, song, or surprise!  Breya is reading three (or more) stories this May.  Learn about the magical North Bay carousel, a fast hare and a slow tortoise, and find out why everyone is having a very grumpy day!

Want to give back to the community?  Donate to our patio fund!  Your tax deductible donation will be used to purchase flowers and shrubs for our patio.  From the patio you can access our free Wi-Fi or sit with a good friend.  Your donation is also tax deductible, bonus!  Donations are accepted in the form of cash or check. You can also donate via CanadaHelps.org.

Programming & Events

With this year marking the centennial of East Ferris, it is the perfect time to celebrate members of our community who have history to share with all generations.  Do you know someone who has built their life here, raised a family in the area, or has great experiences to share?  Send us a message or give us a call; we will book a time to listen to your story and then share it with the community through our social media pages.

Technology putting you in a twist?  Watch our short and simple videos coming up this May on how to create an email, download photos, and run your own zoom meeting.  You can watch our tech videos on YouTube and on our Facebook page.  If you have your own tech question, let us know and we will try to put your question into one of our upcoming videos.

Seed Swap Program 2021!

Have you started gardening recently?

We are seeing more and more people who are growing their own, and loving it! This year we are excited to start running a seed library. This library will be made of seeds donated from the community, available for you to give, take and "swap out" your extra seeds for a variety of others. Want to help us get started?

Drop of your seeds at the library anytime. Be sure to label them so we can display accordingly.

May 19th 1:30pm - via Zoom

It's planting season!  Whether you are learning how to start your seedlings inside, or the best way to keep your garden pest free, now is the time to expand and share your gardening know how.  This Zoom meeting we are discussing all the best ways to start your seeds, where to buy, and how best to fertilize.  Whether you have experience to share or you're looking to learn, we look forward to seeing you!

All of May

Need a craft but out of supplies?  We have mystery kits available!  Pick up a mystery kit when you stop by the library for your curbside orders.  We also have four adult kits available from April to make your own Spring décor sign.  Sign up here for a mystery kit, and sign up here for an adult craft kit

Planting Season

What's one step away from a community garden? A community seed program! Any and all garden seeds that you would like to share can be dropped off at the library. In our front entrance will be a "Give and Take" box full of seeds. Thank you in advance for helping to grow your neighbors garden!
