The East Ferris Public Library is committed to providing high quality services and resources to all community members. Through collaboration with the community and local groups, we offer collections, programs, recreational equipment, high speed internet and tech services all in a welcoming, non-commercial and supportive environment.

Governance model: Ontario's Public Libraries Act (PLA) is the key piece of legislation governing Ontario's public libraries. It supports the provision of equal and universal access to information and establishes
free public library services in Ontario through governance and regulations. Although considered a local service, public libraries are established and guided by provincial legislation.​
Staffing
The library is staffed by 4 individuals (2.4 FTE). The CEO, Assistant Librarian, Library Program Coordinator and the Library Clerk. We have over 40 years of dedicated service to the residents of East Ferris.

We’re proud to be a fine-free library—always have been, always will be. That means no late fees, just a welcoming space where you can borrow, explore, and return items without worry.
Book Returns
We have two 24/7 book return locations. 390 Hwy 94 (the Corbeil Firehall) and at the library at 1257 Village Road.

Our Sources of Revenue
3.4% from Provincial Funding (The Public Libraries Operating Grant) 2% from self-generated revenue 94.6% of our budget is Municipally funded. Our budget is approximately 2% of the total Municipal operating budget.
